the brief
Westland garden health required a microsite to aid the launch of their new pest control products. This was to be a simple site just to outline the new product range with details and specifications of each product.
We created a simple site that concentrated the content on the products and using the brand colours we managed to build an effective and easy to use online tool to demonstrate the products to the consumer.
the solution
As this was a site that would not need to be updated or managed on any level we felt it best to build the site in flat html and css.
The site has a backend database which stores all the information when the contact form is used.
We used JQuery to change css colour schemes on each different product page, each page also contains a click through flash product banner and on the home page we included a flash “slugometer” which pulls in weather reports to ascertain the likelihood of slugs in your garden. The simplicity and lack of complicated backend functionality means a low page load rate so the site is fast and reacts well in all browsers.

the brief
To re-design and build the DSA website to give it a modern feel and make the online presence of the organisation more noticeable.
The site still needs to encompass all the organisations values and guideline but try to make the user experience easier and more efficient.
The site needs to be able to handle multiple company/user profiles which should enable them to edit, upload images or company details to their own client areas which in turn would also have multiple login hierarchy for their own company users.
All of the registered users would need to be managed and editable by a hierarchy of DSA site administrators who would also be able to monitor and screen online registrations as well as submitted content by the means of a notification system.
the solution
A complex user structure and multiple content edit functions required a fully interactive CMS system that could handle a high level of use and users gaining access to backend functionality.
Expression Engine CMS was deployed as well as a robust database solution which meant that all the content was easily sectioned and categorised enabling each user the required access to edit their specific area. The database is housed on secure servers along with the website and all data is locked behind a secure username and password function which carries through to the database.

the brief
Carlf wanted to keep ahead of the competition and gain a modern brand outlook with all online applications. The major objective was to design and build an online catalogue site that would be a focus point for all of the company assets online. The catalogue was to aid the user in researching their products and show in detail each product with the aid of images and product specifications.
Each product should have all related information on a single page to make the user experience simple and easy. Product images should be user friendly to enable small details to be visible.
Product colour and option variations should also be taken into consideration.
The site should also have the ability for site administrators to update, add to and manage each product, category or static page.
The website should also incorporate company news and articles and all other relevant information.
the solution
This was a substantial project that would need constant management and updates. The site would need to be based around a robust CMS solution that would give the flexibility for the site administrators to add new product categories/products , (along with detailed product images and product specs) and also company news and events . For this reason we chose Expression Engine, a full CMS that is used by lots of worldwide companies because of its backend structure and ability to create bespoke channels which enabled us to build an easy to manage category online catalogue.
The site is built with valid code and is cross browser compliant and hosted on secured servers and is easily managed and maintained.

the brief
To design and build an application to determine the best suited product within the Amway stain removal range to remove any given stain on any given surface.
This would need to be built to work around a given matrix already determined by the client.
The application should be simple and quick to use and give results every time that would mean an effect result.
It would need to work on all available smart phones and include a secured database backend to house all the required data.
the solution
A website was built on the back of Expression Engine. We created a fully integrated data management module for maintaining all the necessary information regarding stains, surfaces and solutions that would help identify and narrow down an Amway specific product. The data had to be published to multiple platforms including the websites front end, iPhone and Android mobile phones.
Because the system evolves we had to ensure that future updates to the deployed versions could be done effectively and efficiently. We created an incremental update system that only packages new data that the previous deployed version does not have.
